This is likely to be the first Meizu smartphone to feature a secondary display.
Meizu Pro 7 is not new to rumor mills, and the smartphone has been expected to launch since the past two months. Adding to the long list of rumors is a new leak, which reveals the complete design of the phone. The renders are consistent with earlier reports and show off the front and back of the upcoming Meizu Pro 7.
Spotted by Androidheadlines, the first thing worth noticing on the Meizu Pro 7 render is the secondary E-Ink display on the rear panel. This secondary E-ink display is placed right below the dual-camera setup on the phone. The secondary display is said to offer basic information such as app notifications, time and date among others. We have already seen LG launch smartphones with a secondary display.
Apart from that, up front, we can spot the multifunctional home key which might also double up as a fingerprint sensor. The bezels on the sides of this phone are quite thin, hence making the display of the phone look massive. Previously leaked images suggest that the device would be made out of titanium alloy replacing the metal in the smartphone.
As far as specifications are concerned, the smartphone might feature a 5.62-inch Super AMOLED display with 2160×1080 pixels resolution. The smartphone is expected to be powered by Snapdragon 835 chipset under the hood and launch in three variants. Leaks suggest that there will be a 4GB, 6GB, and 8GB RAM variants, all of which will feature 128GB of internal storage. The smartphone is said to come with mCharge 4.0 support, which can fully charge the smartphone in just 40 minutes. As for the pricing details, the 8GB RAM variant of the Meizu Pro 7 will be RMB 3,799 (Rs 38,000 approximately), the 6GB RAM + 64GB storage variant is expected to be priced at RMB 2,699 (Rs 26,700 approximately), while the 6GB RAM + 128GB variant is likely to be priced at RMB 3,099 (Rs 30,700 approximately).
In comparison, the Meizu Pro 6 features a 5.2-inch 1080p Super AMOLED display, 2.5GHz MediaTek Helio X25 deca-core processor, 4GB of RAM, and 32GB and 64GB onboard storage options. The smartphone also features a 21-megapixel rear camera with laser auto-focus and dual-tone ring flash (10x), a 5-megapixel front camera, and 2,560mAh non-removable battery with support for mCharge 3.0 fast charging.
